Philosophy
Space is the medium in which the body develops. To design, then, is not to decorate, it is to affect. It is to intervene in the relationship between a person and the place they inhabit, with the intention that they feel more fully themselves inside it.
We design spaces that are simple but expressive where every material has been chosen because it has something to say, and every proportion exists because it serves the body that moves through it. We do not pursue immediate impact. We pursue permanence.

Studio
— The studio
We believe that space is where the body learns to inhabit itself.
PAO·N·PAS is a Zürich-based interior design studio working exclusively on residential projects—new builds and existing homes—in Switzerland and beyond. We are interested in design that lasts; spaces that deepen over time rather than exhaust themselves.
The studio is led by Paola Cepeda, a designer with a profoundly artistic sensibility shaped between Latin America and Europe. Her eye brings together the expressiveness of colour and texture with a rigorous architecture of materials—spaces that are not forgotten because they carry something true inside them.

Full interior design
From concept to the last object placed. Spatial planning, material specification, furniture curation, lighting design for new builds and existing residential homes.

Selection of surfaces and finishes of exceptional quality. We work with European makers and craftspeople who understand that the detail is the design.

Furniture curation
Procurement and placement of furniture and objects from established European houses to singular vintage pieces that give a home its irreplaceable character.

Private wellness spaces
Specialist design of saunas, spas, and bathing spaces within the home. Material specification for heat and moisture environments, equipment selection, and smart home integration.

New build consultation
Early involvement in residential new builds working alongside architects to influence structural decisions on proportions, light, and materiality before they become irreversible.

Art & objects
Curation and placement of art, books, ceramics, and objects that give a home its emotional register. The difference between a beautiful room and a lived-in one.
